ATTENTION 65-66 MUSTANG OWNERS

    We have had a large number of inquiries from 65-66 owners and owners of Falcons on whether or not the Cobra IRS units will fit in the early chassis.  The answer is that it will physically fit, but the width is wider than the wheel wells.  The IRS unit in the prototype 70 convertible measures in at 70.5 inches wide (with 255/50-R17 tires), and the wheel wells on a 65 Mustang are 69.5 inches wide. Something is going to have to move!

   We have a 65 fastback scheduled for a conversion coming in to the shop in January, and we'll have additional information then on what it takes to make the unit fit the smaller chassis.  Stay tuned.
